Active acupuncture points or points that indicate a change in the body can be identified through their electrical charge. These points are therapeutic gateways to numerous disorders and may also assist as a further diagnostic tool. These points are used with special ear needles or seeds. This method is effective for a wide variety of disorders and has been used with great success in Europe for chronic pain, headaches, gynecological problems and allergies. Cupping is a therapy designed to stimulate the flow of the blood and qi (energy) within the superficial muscle layers. It is used for sore muscles, tension, neck pain and the common cold. In this therapy, your acupuncturist will place small glass “cups” over specific areas on your body. A vacuum is created under the cup using heat or suction. They may be moved over an affected area or left in place. There may be slight redness following but it will soon dissipate.

Herbal Formulas can be a powerful adjunct to acupuncture. They are used to strengthen, build and support the body the body or to clear it of an excess problem. High quality, non-pesticide treated herbs are used.
