Kate brings over 20 years experience as a Registered Nurse in addition to her education in Eastern medicine, into each of her patient visits. Kate’s extensive training at Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, included acupuncture, diet therapy, Traditional Chinese Herbs and preventative health care. She is also trained in Auricular Medicine from the VPI Institute, which is used as a diagnostic tool and effective method to treat acute and chronic imbalances without producing side effects. Auricular therapy uses reflex points to precisely identify the origin of focus to aid in the healing process.
Kate became interested in studying acupuncture after personally experiencing the power of this ancient medical system in improving her own health. During her treatment program, she developed a strong desire to offer the same benefits of this healing art to others. Now, Kate is able to draw on her integrated knowledge and experience to collaborate with her patients in a truly holistic manner. The focus of her practice is to offer gentle, effective and individualized treatments in a nurturing environment. She believes it is paramount to get to the root of each patient’s unique health issues.
Kate is part of the skilled team of practitioners at the Centre for Soft Tissue Pain. She is pleased to offer her services alongside this strong team in a collaborative environment.
